Porsche Signs End of Life Contract
An agreement to enable Porsche Cars Great Britain Limited (“PCGB”) to comply with European Union regulations on the disposal of old vehicles has been signed with vehicle recyclers Autogreen.
The recently enacted 'End-of-Life Vehicles (Producer Responsibility) Regulations 2005' make manufacturers responsible for establishing a nationwide take-back network for qualifying end-of-life vehicles at no cost to the last holder, and for their environmentally-friendly disposal.
Autogreen has signed an agreement with PCGB to provide a full, free service for owners who eventually wish to dispose of their cars from 1st January 2006.
With 150 locations around the country, there will be a Porsche Autogreen ATF within 30 miles of the vast majority of vehicles. Should an ELV be outside this catchment area, collection of the vehicle will be offered.
