How to Dispose of Your Vehicle at the End of its Life
At Kia, we’re as innovative as they come. And that goes for the full life cycle of our vehicles – from design through to recycling. Eco-friendly treatment and disposal for end-of-life vehicles is one of our environmental targets. That’s why we apply Design for Recycling (DfR) guidelines.
We have selected partners across Europe who can recover and recycle as much material as possible. They dispose of harmful substances safely, in accordance with Directive 2000/53/EC.
In the UK, we have appointed autogreen to manage the take back, treatment and recycling of end-of-life Kia vehicles. If you’d like advice on whether your vehicle qualifies for free take back, or would like to find your nearest take back facility, click here
We offer an 'End-of-life' recycling scheme with our partner, Autogreen. Through this scheme, you are able to calculate a quote for your scrap car when the time comes and deliver it to your local dealer who will arrange it's scrappage.
Autogreen was launched specifically to manage the entire legislation as required by the End-of-Life Vehicles (ELV) Directive, so have experience of the industry and have built a trusted relationship with many car manufacturers
